The cutting room
This release is for the editors: real transitions between clips, color grading with adjustment layers, precise transform controls with keyboard shortcuts, and your own fonts.
Features:
- Transitions. Seven of them — crossfade, fade through black, zoom, slide left, slide right, wipe left, and wipe right. Drop one between any two adjacent clips, adjust its duration, and it renders in the preview and the export alike. Works on the main track and on overlay video tracks.
- Color grading. A new color adjust effect gives every video and image layer brightness, contrast, saturation, and tint controls — keyframeable like everything else.
- Adjustment layers. Put a grade on its own layer and it applies to everything beneath it. Stack them, trim them, fade them.
- Transform keyboard shortcuts. Nudge position with Alt+arrows, scale and rotate from the keyboard, and reset a transform in one stroke. All of them are rebindable in the shortcuts editor.
- Custom fonts. Upload your own TTF, OTF, or WOFF files and they appear in the font picker next to Google and system fonts — stored with the project and included in exports.
Improvements:
- Smoother preview playback when the same clip appears several times on the timeline.
